A BREATH-TAKING BARN WEDDING

JENNY AND DANIEL SAY I DO IN AN BREATH-TAKING BARN WEDDING AT EAST RIDDLESDEN HALL

On the 21st June, Jenny and Daniel said I do when they got married at East Riddlesden Hall, a truly gorgeous spot, featuring a rustic barn, serene lake, and stunning gardens, I mean what more could you ask for? It’s also a National Trust property, so if you’re a member, it’s definitely worth a visit.

  • The wedding venue: East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley

  • The lovely couple: Jenny & Daniel

  • The best bit: the doggo, Charlie who was the ring bearer

  • The time of year: 21st June 2024

  • The weather conditions: glorious sunshine!

The barn itself is a real gem, with stunning wooden beams and a curtain that’s used to transform the space. The ceremony is held on one side of the curtain, and then once the vows are said, the curtain is drawn back to reveal the beautifully laid tables for the wedding breakfast. Later, this same space transforms into the perfect dance floor. Outside, you’re spoiled with breathtaking spots for relaxed and natural portraits—the gardens are a picture-perfect backdrop. Take a look at the photos, and you’ll see what I mean!

BRIDAL PREP AT THE PARENTS

The day began at Jenny’s parents' home, where we captured some lovely getting-ready moments. Jenny looked absolutely stunning, don’t you agree?  After getting ready, Jenny, her dad, and her bridesmaids headed to East Riddlesden Hall in style thanks to a VW campervan hired from Liberty Campers. It added a fun, relaxed vibe to the day and it even hung around for some portraits later on too…

THE CEREMONY, CHARLIE AND CONFETTI

The ceremony was held in the barn and Charlie, their sweet dog, stole the show as the ring bearer, walking proudly down the aisle with the rings. It was such a heartwarming moment and definitely my highlight of the day. After the ceremony, everyone headed outside for the confetti moment, with Charlie joining in on the action

DRINKS AND PORTRAITS IN THE GARDENS

Thanks to the glorious weather, the drinks reception took place outside in the lovely gardens. Guests mingled under the sunshine, and it’s safe to say Charlie got more than his fair share of attention! We then strolled around the stunning grounds for some relaxed and natural portraits of the newlyweds. We even made use of the VW campervan for some fun shots, and of course, Charlie jumped in for a few with his parents too—I just can’t get enough of weddings with dogs! After capturing some amazing moments in the gardens and the campervan, we headed back to the barn for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

GOLF, JENGA AND A TIN CAN ALLEY!

After everyone’s bellies were full from the wedding breakfast and the speeches were complete, the real fun began. Daniel had gone all out, hand-building an incredible mini golf course for the day! It was a massive hit with both children and adults, alongside other garden games like giant Jenga and tin can alley. They even had scorecards and mini pencils for the guests to keep track of their rounds.

The evening unfolded with the cutting of the cake, followed by Jenny and Daniel’s romantic first dance. After that, the dance floor filled up, and the party really kicked off, with guests dancing the night away under the barn’s wooden beams. East Riddlesden Hall is easily one of my favourite venues now, and I’m so excited to be back here for two more weddings in 2025!
