A FAIRY TALE CASTLE WEDDING
PAIGE & JORDAN TIE THE KNOT AT PECKFORTON CASTLE IN TARPORLEY, CHESHIRE
In August this year, 2023, I headed out of Yorkshire and into Cheshire to capture the beautiful castle wedding of Paige and Jordan. Here’s their wedding story…
-
The wedding venue: Peckforton Castle in Tarporley, Cheshire
-
The lovely couple: Paige & Jordan
-
The best bit: mr and mrs beer pong
-
The time of year: 14th August 2023
-
The weather conditions: sunny with clouds, and just a little rain at all the right moments (like while we were inside for prep and speeches)
NOW WHEN I SAY "CASTLE WEDDING" I MEAN CASTLE WEDDING...
This wedding story can’t begin without a serious moment to swoon over this particular venue. Peckforton Castle in Tarporley is an enormous castle wedding venue with amazing grounds and plenty of space to indulge in lots of outdoor portraits. If you’ve seen Jurassic Park (let’s be honest who hasn’t) then the woodlands, dense green foliage and lots and lots of ferns are exactly what you’ll find at Peckforton Castle and as a Jurassic Park fan and dinosaur aficionado, let’s just say I was definitely in my element at this venue.
It’s not all about the outside though, the inside is just as atmospheric and impressive. The bridal prep took place in one of the most luxurious rooms I’ve ever seen, complete with a beautiful freestanding bath and an indulgent mahogany four poster bed. Here, I was able to capture some amazing photos of Paige, with her bridesmaids, mum, children and nieces all getting ready together and we all had an emotional moment when we did the father of the bride reveal with her dad and grandma.
FAIRY LIGHTS, MUSICIANS, CONFETTI AND TWIRLS!
Paige and Jordan's wedding ceremony took place in a beautiful room with the highest ceilings ever, lots and lots of fairy lights and a very brave white carpet for the aisle. Guests were greeted with music from a very talented pianist and violinist who’s names I must find out, and it was here, walking back down the white aisle as a married couple, that Jordan and Paige nailed, and I mean nailed their confetti aisle moment with a perfectly timed twirl, just looks at these amazing photos…
After the ceremony it was onto the reception in yet another showstopper of a space. This time we’re talking about grand fireplaces, impressive chandeliers and while guests waited for the party to start, an ice cream treat from @hyacinthicecreamvan. I was lucky enough to get one too and let me just say, the clotted cream flavour ice cream was delicious.
WOODLAND PHOTOS, BEER PONG AND SWORDS, YES SWORDS...
Now I did mention at the beginning of this wedding story that the grounds at Peckforton Castle are particularly amazing, so I am very pleased to say that I managed to secret the couple away for a few wedding portraits in the most magical wooded area, which if you ask me, make the perfect back drop for Paige and Jordan’s wedding photos, what do you think?
After the woodland wedding portraits it was time for the speeches and then the party really started with a few rounds of Mr and Mrs beer pong! It was team bride vs team groom of course, and in round one it was victory for team groom (not that anyone was keeping count by the end of the night) and I have to say my favourite part of the whole Mr and Mrs beer pong set up was the cups in the middle labeled “wash your balls” 👀
